29 WEEKS

and I am about to squash this sign with the baby bump :)

How far Along? 29 Weeks
Total weight gain: 19+
Maternity clothes?  Trying to fit into what I have for the next 3 months.
Sleep: Still sleeping good but not supposed to sleep on my back and of course that sounds the most comfortable now
Best moment this week: Just knowing that we are going to meet our little girl in less than 11 weeks.  The reality of having a baby is starting to set in.  ahhhh!!!
Miss Anything? Shopping without running out of breath you would think I just ran a marathon instead of climbing up 3 stairs.
Movement: Yep still kicking around can’t wait for our appt this week so we know if that is an arm or a leg or both that is kicking up a storm
Food Cravings: Loving milk can’t keep enough in the house which I guess is a good thing the baby’s bones are developing so she needs all the calcium she can get.  Sweets are still a favorite … I guess I can blame that one on being pregnant
Gender: A baby Girl!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Nesting… Jon asked if the to do list will actually ever be doneJ and just the normal getting up to pee all the time, aching back and feet but I am sure that is just the start of what is to come in the last trimester
Looking forward to:  Our Dr. appointment on Thursday and getting to see friends and family this week/weekend.  This might be our last fun trip before the baby comes!

another best moment this week... smoked ribs yum.

28 WEEKS

How far along? 28 Weeks officially the start of the 3rd trimester
Total weight gain: 18 pounds
Maternity clothes?  Pretty much all I wear plus anything with an elastic waist. Although I have to admit at home I am still wearing my normal clothes …. That is until Jon brings to my attention that my shirt is no longer covering the bottom of my stomach… sweet!
Sleep: Sleeping good but starting to move from side to side a lot more often.
Best moment this week: Valentines day followed by a three day weekend.. what is not to love.  We finally picked a rug for the nursery and the babies bedding… my sisters don’t know if yet but I will be enlisting them for help on a few sewing projects.  I have also notice that people in general are just nicer to pregnant women I am asked often when is the big day… Not going to lie it takes me a second to realize they are asking about my due date not our wedding J
Miss Anything? It is getting harder to tie my shoes
Movement: Pretty sure there is a dance party in there. movement all over the place
Food Cravings: loving the Starbucks passion tea, milk, Jon's french toast, fruit, and frozen fruit bars.  Oh made a super green machine smoothie and it was so yummy plus it has a ton of iron ( you put in 4 cups of baby spinach) you can find recipe HERE
Gender: A baby Girl!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Feeling really good I can see how in a few more weeks back massages will be needed
Looking forward to: Seeing family/friends and finishing the nursery.

A little sparkling Cider for Valentines Day with the Hubby.

27 WEEKS

How far Along? 27 Weeks ( last week of the 2nd trimester)
Total weight gain: 17 pounds
Maternity clothes? Pretty much my best friend these days.  Seriously love the maternity pants from H& M so comfy and GAP maternity tops.
Sleep: Still sleeping good. Waking up to kicks in the morning.
Best moment this week: Taking the maternity tour of Cedars Hospital and seeing all the newborn babies.. there was a little guy that was only 5 hrs old so precious.
Miss Anything? Starbucks latte with tons of caffeine.
Movement: She is still moving a ton... I keep looking down to see if other can see her kicking from the outside.
Food Cravings: Still loving cereal and just anything sweet in general I wish it was good to eat gummy candies for breakfast
Gender: A baby Girl!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Still feeling really good.
Looking forward to:  Setting up the rest of the nursery and making a final decision on the bedding we have narrowed it down to 4 options.  Looking forward to the Showers in March can’t wait to see our family and friends.

On a fun note.  Jon and I could not be anymore excited for all of our friends and family members that are expecting right now too.  There is defiantly something in the water… maybe in the water at our wedding.  7 of our bridesmaids/groomsmen’s wives are expecting! And 3 of our close friends are too! 2012 is going to be a year of babies!

The Nursery .... in progress

BABY FAST NURSERY

So a few of you have asked to see the nursery but I have to forewarn you it is a work in progress.  Before it was the nursery it was our first bedroom, then the guest room, then the storage room and now it is in the process of becoming the nursery/ guest room.

Here are the before pictures ( currently the storage/nursery/guest room). Yep a mess!

After painting....
I am super indecisive so I bought 4 paint samples( top right pic) to see which one Jon would like and out of all 4 of them we went with a completely different color.... of course :).  We still need to figure out how we are going to arrange all the furniture in this room and I think it will work if we do it like this ....

.
Hopefully we will have a picture of the finish nursery to show soon.

26 WEEKS

How far Along? 26 Weeks
Total weight gain: 16 pounds
Maternity clothes? Oh yes.  So excited spring is right around the corner and maxi dresses and skirts are still in
Sleep: Still sleeping good.
Best moment this week: There were so many. Passing the Glucose test, hearing the babies heart beat, painting the nursery... Jon did most of it, finding out that we are getting a new crib (the one we had was given to us and no longer meets the requirements, found out by going to this website CPSC so they are sending an updated crib), getting the exciting news that our little girl is going to have a little cousin come September ( Congrats Tonya & Phil) and last but not least hearing that my brothers surgery went well! What a week of blessing.
Miss Anything? Sitting on a couch comfortably
Movement: Lots of movement in the morning and late night.. wonder if we are getting a glimpse of her sleeping habits
Food Cravings: Loving mangos dried or fresh, cereal and milk.  Found out I am slightly anemic so we are trying to get more iron… Jon was excited to hear we need to eat more red meat
Gender: A baby Girl!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Feeling really good still enjoying the 2nd trimester.
Looking forward to:  Taking the tour of the hospital where we will be delivering (Cedars Sinai) and of course getting everything ready for the baby.

Some pics from the weekend it was so nice so we decided to do lunch in PV before the Superbowl.  We went to one of our favorite places Nelson's at Terranea they have the best view and the inside is a sports bar.  Win win for Jon and I.  Plus this time we got to see some whales right off the coast.
